Unmet need for family planning

Unmet need for family planning tracks the percentage of married women who are fertile and sexually active and report not wanting any more children; or to delay the next child; but who are not using any method of contraception. The concept of unmet need points to the gap between women’s reproductive intentions and their contraceptive behaviour which may be motivated by a range of influences including access to supplies and/or information. www.who.int/reproductivehealth/…/family_planning/unmet_need_fp/en/
