Post natal care (PNC)

The post natal period (defined by WHO as upto six weeks after delivery) is the most vulnerable time for both mother and baby; particularly is during the hours and days after birth. PNC provides tailored care for both the mother and baby to reduce preventable deaths and disabilities. Essential routine PNC care packages have been developed for both mothers and babies along with recommended timing of PNC visits and strategies for managing more complex cases.
